My Family: Fourth of July ~ State College, Pa

With the warm weather.. it is making ready for the summer months. I know don’t rush it right?? These images are from our trip to Penn State for the 4th of July. I think I say this every year.. but if you’ve never gone there to watch the fireworks you need to. They are truly wonderful and the whole day has lots of activities leading up to the fireworks. Just bring a canopy to sit under during the day to block the sun. Here are a few images from our day..

Always a worth while way to cool off during the day.. the Creamery!!!

I love this one.. doesn’t he look like an angel??

One of my favorite images.. of all time. I have this one printed on our wall at home.. I will the hardest time covering it up with a new one. He has such a sincere smile in this photo.

We were waiting to get educated about fireworks.. so we were playing with the camera.

My husband only knows how to make goofy faces for the camera.. I swear!

Sparkler Time!!

What a good picture..

School Pictures: Cody’s Session ~ Amberson, Pa

Hi Everyone.. Happy Sunday! This shoot is of my cousin actually, he is a senior this year at Fannett-Metal High School. He works for a farmer in McConnellsburg and we did the shoot there. This farm was awesome.. my favorite part as you will see was an area that had three old cars just sitting in the field. It helps to make fun/unique images. The farm so big we had to drive to the different areas for his pictures. It rained the day before so we had to be careful not to get him wet. Enjoy..

Those are the only  pictures where he is not wearing a hat. I am assuming that is guy thing??

Here are some of my favorites.. you will see the old vehicles in these few shots. I LOVED the truck with the tree growing out of it.

This was one of the areas we had to drive to. This part of the farm consisted of huge corn fields and then an area where the bailed hay is kept. I had some fun ones of him jumping off of the bails.. but I don’t think he wanted me to post them!

This picture is just some of the hay bails.. arcoss the dirt road was a bunch more.

I also really like this picture. I loved the goldenrod that was all over the place, I think it gives the image some amazing colors.

Still another part of the farm..

Thanks for being up to my photo ideas!!

Sports Photography: The Blazers ~ Greenvillage, Pa

So, I have never done a shoot like this one before. I was asked by a softball team to take some pictures of them while playing in a tournament. There is not a whole lot from this shoot that I am going to blog. But, I figured since it’s so cold outside I will show some pictures where I will post some pictures where there is plenty of lush grass and sun!!

I think shots like these are so neat. I think it is amazing that we have cameras that can stop action.. and it’s action worth stopping!

I hope this warms everyone up some during our snow season. (Which I totally love.. sorry to those who don’t like the snow) Stay warm in this cold weather until spring/summer comes around.

Family Portraits: The Benedict Family ~ Chambersburg, Pa

Hello Again.. This is a shoot that was done at Wilson College over the Fall. I have been taking this particular family’s pictures since they were babies.. I have enjoyed watching them grow up (so far). You get to see how much their looks change and you get the privilege of getting to know their individual personalities. We had a great sunny day for this shoot and they brought their new puppy along for some pictures. Enjoy..

This first picture is of everyone.. and all of their names begin with the letter “C.” Yes even the new puppy..

I love her! She has three brothers and a whole lifetime of hardship from those brothers. She has to be tough.. she was trying not to smile for me. Poor thing..

I love this picture too.. how cute is he. Trying to see what everyone else is doing. You truly have to love kids!!

I also have a thing for fun angles.. and different points of view.

How hard do you think it was to get four kids to NOT smile at me. Believe it or not.. it’s not easy

This pose we actually took some with their new puppy. The first ones we tried I had the two top children switched. Wouldn’t you know that Corbin.. the youngest bit Colby the oldest on the ear. So.. we moved people around!!

He was all smiles for me that day.. every time I asked.. he produced the cutest smiles.

My Family: Christmas Presest Time ~ Chambersburg, Pa

Here are some random shots from Christmas this year. Some are from my dad’s house and some were taken at my best friend’s Rainbow. These pictures are grainer than the ones I normally take.. I chose this over flashing everyone. Enjoy..

This is my Father.. and I he is holding a card Gabe made for him. I am very proud of him.. he made it all by himself and he made it “pop-up.”

I have to give credit to Rainbow for this one. She took Ben’s reflection on a Christmas decoration. Why is it, that we love fun shots like this??

We also played some serious Rock Band.. we are die hard Rock Band lovers. I can only sing but the rest of family is multi-talented.

This is also Charlie a new dog that Rainbow’s family adopted. He is quite adorable.. and I can’t stop myself from saying his name with an English Accent. If you’ve ever seen Charlie and Lola OR the Youtube video of the little boy who’s younger brother kept biting his finger. Then you will understand what I’m saying…

I also have to say I love using a wide angle lens for some fun angled shots.

My boys wanted Pillow Pets this year. Santa visted Rainbow’s house.. way to go Santa!

That is Miss Donna.. and the boys really LOVE her.
